- The Garden Hotline is a helpful resource for free Pacific Northwest gardening advice. Ask garden experts specific questions through their online form, via email at help(at)gardenhotline(dot)org or call (206)633-0224 Monday through Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- King County Native Plant Guide provides a searchable list of plants native to King County with photos and information about growing ease and requirements, native plant landscaping plans, an online tool for saving your own plants wishlist, and articles with tips for gardening with natives.
- Washington Native Plant Society provides lots of suggestions for native landscaping, as well as a highly organized plant database.
- The City of Seattle's Sample Plants for Salmon Friendly Gardens (pdf) is a short list suggested natives, divided by plant type.
- Seattle Tilth's Maritime Northwest Garden Guide is a month-by-month manual for gardening in the Pacific Northwest.
- The Living with Wildlife manual built by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife details how to best provide resources for wildlife while ensuring they don't become a nuisance for people sharing their environment.
- Seattle Department of Transportation's Street Tree Planting Procedures guide explains how to get a free permit for installing trees in street planting strips.
- The Seattle Tree Fruit Society offers help with growing fruit and nut trees, berries, kiwis, grapes, and other fruit, as well as hands-on workshops for learning skills such as pruning, grafting, pest control, and wine and cider making.
